Dog Walking
Dogs are welcome on the beach and promenade for much of the year, however from May 1st to 30th September inclusive there is a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) that covers the main beach, promenade and access slopes. During this period dogs are not allowed on the central beach area, and must be on lead on the promenade and slopes. There are signs along the promenade advising which areas are and are not dog-friendly.

- Allow your door to foul areas where it may be a nuisance to others.
- Allow your dog to worry other people.
- Children can be especially frightened by dogs.

Bringing Your Dog on Holiday
Before booking your accommodation it is advisable to enquire if pets are
welcome. There are also a number of attractions that will only allow dogs on leads and a few that only allow them in certain areas. It is always best to check before you plan your visit.
